On 20 January 2023, Valbia S.r.l. obtained the DNV GL Type Approval for all pneumatic actuator series produced, 100% made in Italy.
With this certificate, all approved products can be installed on DNV GL classified vessels.
These include:
· Ships Pt.4 Ch.6 Piping systems DNV-OS-D101.
· Marine and machinery systems and equipment
A further certification that demonstrates the company's ongoing effort in ensuring that each product is compliant with the requests of the customers and completely satisfies their needs, and which guarantees all the requirements necessary to install pneumatic actuators in naval environments and applications.
The confirmation of a solid and structured quality system.
DNV GL is the world's leading ship classification society in terms of number of installations; more than 13,000 vessels and mobile platforms are certified, around 21% of the global market
The certification obtained comes on top of the RINA Type Approval already achieved in 2016 for Valbia's electric actuators, allowing the company to have an entire production certified for marine applications.
Adding value to products and ensuring the highest quality for customers are priorities for the Bonomi Group and these are the drivers to achieve the highest and most innovative quality standards.
At the end of 2022 the company Fra.Bo S.p.A. - Bordolano and Quinzano (CR) - were merged into Rubinetterie Bresciane S.p.A. - Gussago (BS).
As a result of the merger, Rubinetterie Bresciane Bonomi S.p.A. take over all the active and passive legal relationships held by Fra.Bo S.p.A as from 1 January 2023.
A major commitment for the company now lies in the harmonisation of all production processes in the short term, considering companies with different histories and organisational models.
This is a process of integration and international expansion that Bonomi Group is building, strengthened by the consensus and support of the other member companies.
For the fourth consecutive year Rubinetterie Bresciane Bonomi won the Welfare Index PMI award, which attests to the seriousness of the welfare plan implemented by Italian companies.
There are several initiatives that Bonomi Group has been implementing for several years to support the well-being of its employees and work-life balance. These include flexible benefits that provide the employees with a spending budget to be freely used to purchase from a basket of goods and services that meet their needs, such as: fuel vouchers, food, schoolbooks or school expenses, travel or tasting experiences, health insurance and discounts in gyms and kindergartens.
To confirm the group's focus on workers and their families there are also production bonuses available to all employees, planned to increase motivation and productivity, while taking advantage of the tax benefits in force. Another important example of the constant commitment to improving the employees’ living conditions is the sum of 400 euro additional welfare paid out in September 2022 to give tangible support to the rising cost of living.
In addition to the above, a prevention campaign was implemented in 2022 with free medical check-ups held in the company for all employees.
Bonomi Group’s corporate welfare project aims to improve the quality of life of workers, who can therefore contribute more to the success of the company, fostering continuous improvement, without compromising the sustainability of the company.
Widespread well-being inside and outside the company, both personal and physical, means laying the foundations to make employees more effective and efficient in their work. A true expression of the concept of caring for others, which transforms workplaces into environments where it is possible to fall in love with the product and the company.
